Data Scientist (Remote)

About the role

Quora is looking for a remote Data Scientist to join its highly empowered Data Team. You will work on the core Quora product, collaborating with product managers, designers, engineers and other stakeholders to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, content quality, personalization and monetization.

Key responsibilities

• Own well‑scoped, high‑impact problem spaces from definition through analysis to implementation.
• Design, run and evaluate randomized controlled experiments to inform product decisions.
• Build visualizations and dashboards that surface usage patterns and opportunities.
• Develop statistical and machine‑learning models for user growth, feed relevance, engagement drivers, marketplace efficiency and monetization effectiveness.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate findings into product improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of solving open‑ended data problems.
• Experience working in product‑focused data science environments.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Comfort with rigorous experimentation and pragmatic decision‑making.
