Design Engineer

About the role

Terex is seeking a Design Engineer to contribute to new product concepts, testing, documentation, and implementation while improving existing designs. The role involves working on steel and aluminum components, welded structures, and electrical/hydraulic control systems for industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop designs from early concept through testing, documentation, and implementation.
• Perform design and analysis of steel and aluminum parts, welded structures, and control systems.
• Create solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop and execute test plans for product verification and validation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on machines and support production lines.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities to meet company targets.
• Provide field support for customers and resolve on‑site issues.

Required profile

• Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics engineering degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Advanced SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, sheet‑metal, surfacing, drafting).
• Advanced GD&T knowledge.
• Fundamentals of finite element analysis.
• Hydraulics fundamentals.
• Product development experience.
