Developer Portal & Community Manager

About the role

This position is focused on owning and evolving the Developer Portal for a highly technical open‑hardware product. Based in Mexico, you will act as the bridge between engineering teams and a global developer community, turning complex internal work into clear, public documentation and fostering active community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Own, structure, and continuously improve the Developer Portal, ensuring accuracy and usability for external contributors.
• Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates, and product changes into clear public documentation.
• Maintain and organize wiki pages, GitHub repositories, and developer‑facing resources across multiple sub‑projects.
• Participate in engineering meetings to stay aligned with development direction.
• Moderate community contributions, discussions, issues, and pull requests to ensure quality and constructive collaboration.
• Collect and synthesize community feedback and relay insights back to internal teams.
• Help developers navigate the portal, contribute effectively, and engage with the ecosystem.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with proven ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of software development workflows, including Git, branches, commits, and pull requests.
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts into simple, structured explanations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to extract key insights from technical discussions.
• Comfortable working closely with engineers across hardware and software domains.
• Capability to filter valuable feedback from noise and maintain focus on high‑quality contributions.
• Organizational mindset focused on structure, clarity, and information architecture.
• Genuine interest in developer tools, open‑source ecosystems, and open‑development culture.
