Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a Director of Academic Excellence to lead the academic strategy of its accelerated learning model. The role is fully remote and reports directly to the executive team, shaping curriculum, data‑driven assessment and global advocacy for the company’s science‑based approach.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement academic frameworks that translate learning science into curriculum, motivational systems and app functionality.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability and results across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews and observations into ecosystem assessments, identifying obstacles and recommending interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback and milestone management.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning publicly, delivering keynotes and engaging with ministries of education and other high‑profile audiences.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic or EdTech leadership roles, with a track record of scaling proven learning models.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams and drive measurable student outcomes.
• Strong public speaking and advocacy skills to promote evidence‑based education globally.
