Employment Counsel – Mexico & Latin America

About the role

Orbia Advance Corporation is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to lead its labor and employment law function across Mexico and Latin America. Reporting to the Global Head of Labor and Employment, you will act as a trusted legal partner for both Legal and People teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical legal advice on hiring, performance management, employee relations, leaves, accommodations, workplace safety, discipline, termination, compensation, benefits and union matters.
• Collaborate with investigative functions and advise on internal investigations.
• Oversee employment‑related litigation, respond to demand letters, negotiate resolutions and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage and coordinate outside counsel to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective service.

Required profile

• Advanced conversational English (mandatory) and fluency in Spanish.
• Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Prior in‑house experience preferred; additional languages are a plus.
