Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for investigating component failures during electrical testing, identifying root causes quickly, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce economic loss.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct failure analysis on non‑conforming components and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to resolve component issues.
• Monitor reject levels, report technical findings to internal teams and customers, and reclaim revenue from defective parts.
• Implement proactive measures to increase productivity and product yields.
• Respond immediately to production line part problems and manage component holds.
• Ensure proper storage of moisture‑sensitive and shock‑sensitive devices and follow ESD procedures at all times.
• Communicate professionally with customer engineering personnel and adhere to safety, health, and security policies.

Required profile

• Ability to read, analyze, and communicate technical and scientific information.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the capacity to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency in interpreting mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, partial differential equations, integration, and numerical techniques.
• Advanced PC proficiency and familiarity with Jabil’s software tools.
