Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

Flex is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join its Operations Engineering team in Juarez Sur. The role focuses on implementing cost‑effective troubleshooting methods, driving corrective actions, and ensuring high product quality across manufacturing and repair processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures for systems, software, and equipment.
• Direct electronic engineering activities related to test method design, instrumentation procurement, installation, and calibration.
• Coordinate debugging strategies for failed products and define debug process indicators.
• Collaborate with scientific, engineering, and technical staff to resolve testing and product failures.
• Analyze failure data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to engineering and management.
• Design and use computer software/hardware to conduct electronic and software tests.
• Train and mentor floor support, debug technicians, and test operators.
• Identify root causes of yield problems, implement corrective actions, and monitor improvements.
• Perform circuit and topology analysis, yield trend, and Pareto analysis to detect systemic issues.
