Field Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to ensure our high‑pressure processing systems operate at peak performance, minimizing customer downtime. The role involves on‑site installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support across Mexico and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of new systems (projects lasting a few days to 4 weeks) within scope, schedule and budget.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical equipment, including hydraulic systems up to 3,000 psi and ultra‑high‑pressure fluid systems up to 120,000 psi.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical‑electrical components, handling voltages from 24 VDC to 480 VAC and control systems such as PLC, HMI and SCADA (RS Logix5000/ControlLogix).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls to reduce downtime.
• Prepare and submit inspection, service, timesheet and expense reports promptly.
• Act as the primary on‑site technical contact, providing clear communication and technical consultation to customers while collaborating with internal engineering and project teams.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical trades (master or advanced level).
• Experience with high‑value, complex capital equipment; field service experience preferred.
• Associate degree (AS/AAS) or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Based in Mexico (preferably Puebla) with easy access to an airport for frequent travel.
• Willingness to travel up to 90 % of the time, including international assignments of up to 6 weeks.
• Valid driver’s license and high proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Installation and commissioning of hydraulic and ultra‑high‑pressure systems.
• Maintenance and repair of mechanical‑electrical equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical CAD drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams and hydraulic schematics.
• PLC programming and ladder‑logic interpretation (RS Logix5000/ControlLogix).
• HMI operation.
• SCADA systems.
• Use of precision measurement tools.
• Preventive and emergency maintenance procedures.
