Finance Director – Mexico

About the role

Standard Profil, a leading automotive sealing systems manufacturer, is expanding its Mexican operations and seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead the local finance organisation. The role combines strategic partnership with global leadership and hands‑on management of all finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Finance activities including Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning and Reporting.
• Define and execute finance strategy aligned with local and global business objectives.
• Drive transformation and continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and internal controls.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Review and analyse Balance Sheet and P&L statements for actuals, forecasts and budgets.
• Monitor business performance and provide recommendations for strategic decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations and Group policies.
• Develop and implement cost‑control initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Manage treasury activities, liquidity planning, financing and banking relationships.
• Support strategic projects such as SAP roll‑outs, IFRS implementation and reporting improvements.
• Build, coach, develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team.
• Collaborate closely with plant management, regional leadership and global stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Master's degree, MBA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of finance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role (Finance Director, CFO, Head of Finance or comparable).
• Experience working in multinational, matrix organisations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate reporting standards.
• Fluent English communication skills.
