Financial Analyst – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Financial Analyst supports Dematic’s global operations by providing financial insight for a manufacturing plant. Working closely with the local Manufacturing Controller, the analyst helps drive cost efficiency, inventory management and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Manufacturing Controller to manage costs, inventory and performance metrics for the plant.
• Prepare financial forecasts, monthly actual‑to‑forecast reviews and support the annual budgeting process.
• Calculate, review and maintain standard costs, including purchase price and production variances.
• Support daily costing, annual standard‑cost setting and inventory reserve calculations.
• Analyze labor data, backlog and new business workload, and assist in bid reviews for new projects.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, cycle counts and inventory management procedures.
• Identify and drive execution improvements in collaboration with plant leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience with standard costing and cost accounting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to explain results and make recommendations to management.
• Willingness to travel up to 5‑10% as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
