Financial Controls Manager

About the role

Harbour Energy is seeking a Financial Controls Manager to lead the Asset Controls and Financial Controls function for its operated upstream oil and gas assets in Mexico. The role ensures robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and compliance with local contracts and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for financial control, asset reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business planning across multiple legal entities.
• Ensure compliance with Production Sharing Contracts, License Contracts, IFRS standards and Mexican regulatory obligations.
• Lead a team of Asset Controllers and promote the use of systems, analytical tools and industry best practices.
• Act as the primary interface between Mexico operations, joint‑venture partners, regulators, auditors and corporate headquarters.
• Support strategic and commercial initiatives through financial analysis, performance evaluation, scenario modelling and risk oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controls or governance within upstream oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mexican regulatory framework and production sharing contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
