Freight Specialist

About the role

Join Motherson's Logistics Solutions division to lead North American logistics operations for automotive finished‑vehicle shipments. You will work with advanced technologies to optimize transportation, carrier management and supply‑chain efficiency across internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily transportation operations, including FTL, LTL, parcel, ocean and air freight.
• Oversee shipment execution, tracking, issue resolution and customer communication.
• Ensure timely delivery, accurate invoicing, billing and performance reporting.
• Monitor carrier performance, KPIs and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop cost‑saving logistics optimization projects and support growth of SMGCL solutions in North America.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful execution.
• Travel 10‑15% to Mexico facilities and logistics partners for operational reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field (preferred).
• 5‑10 years of transportation and supply‑chain experience, preferably in automotive logistics.
• Experience supporting automotive suppliers, manufacturing plants and OEM logistics.
• US‑Mexico cross‑border transportation management experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
