Hardware Project Leader – Automotive Electronics

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Hardware Project Leader to drive the development of Automotive Electronic Power Steering Systems. You will manage projects from quotation through mass‑production release, ensuring technical excellence and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hardware development projects, meeting all milestones.
• Act as the main technical interface with internal plants, business units, customers and suppliers.
• Manage requirements, negotiate with customers, and coordinate validation activities.
• Oversee R&D project budget planning and monitoring.
• Ensure functional‑safety compliance (ISO 26262) and manage related activities.
• Coordinate sample orders, perform design reviews, and release hardware according to Bosch processes.
• Drive change‑management and technical problem‑solving within the hardware domain.
• Report project status to senior management and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Strong background in automotive hardware development and product lifecycle management.
• Experience in stakeholder management with customers and suppliers.
• Solid knowledge of power and analog electronics, including schematic and PCB layout design.
• Familiarity with permanent‑magnet synchronous motors and functional‑safety standards (ISO 26262, FMEA/FMEDA).
• Ability to manage project budgets and perform risk, time, and cost planning.
• Analytical, logical, and effective communication skills.
