Implementation Consultant - Accounting Software

About the role

BlackLine is looking for an Implementation Consultant in Mexico City to implement its accounting software products with new and existing clients. The consultant also advises mid-market clients on best practices and business needs so the software can be configured effectively and deliver exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead several concurrent implementation projects using general direction and standard procedures.
• Manage implementation milestones to completion within budget, scope, schedule and customer satisfaction.
• Create and maintain documentation such as billable hours, Salesforce notes and documentation, and expense management records.
• Communicate with key stakeholders on risks, progress, expectations and next steps.
• Train and advise clients on how to use the products, and coach them to adopt BlackLine features during configuration.
• Recommend improvements to system performance and efficiency, and troubleshoot application issues.
• Provide application feedback to the Product team for future releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in consulting, client services or professional services.
• Demonstrated experience managing implementation projects and in a client-facing, high-revenue environment (e.g. time-and-materials billing).
• Experience documenting business requirements and technical specifications for software development.
• Preferred: 2+ years in the audit/accounting industry, a software or accounting background, and an accounting degree or CPA.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting terminology and processes, such as month-end close.
• Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Salesforce and accounting software.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving and client relationship skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a project and to work with internal and external stakeholders.
