Internal Auditor – Americas

About the role

Essity is seeking an Internal Auditor to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls across North America and Latin America. This role offers international exposure, travel opportunities, and the chance to influence business performance in a purpose‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute internal audits for financial, operational, compliance and business processes across the Americas.
• Identify risks, assess control effectiveness and recommend improvement actions.
• Extract and analyse data from SAP and other business systems to support audit assessments.
• Conduct interviews and engage with stakeholders at various functional levels.
• Prepare clear audit documentation, findings and formal reports.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in internal audit, finance, controlling, accounting or risk management.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and internal controls.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Analytical, curious and comfortable working in a multicultural, travel‑intensive environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for data extraction and analysis.
