JSOX Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a JSOX Auditor to join our Mexico City team at Nissan. The role focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with J‑SOX regulations, and supporting a robust control environment that drives sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit testing to assess the quality and effectiveness of internal controls in line with J‑SOX requirements.
• Conduct routine financial and operational audits following internal audit standards, corporate policies, contractual obligations and regulatory mandates.
• Identify audit findings and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
• Participate in special projects, investigations and regulatory compliance audits under the supervision of senior audit staff.
• Review and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance, risk mitigation and clear service‑level expectations.
• Apply procurement best practices and industry standards to optimise acquisition processes.
• Safeguard sensitive business information and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.

Required profile

• 1 year of audit experience with a CIA or CPA certification (preferred) or 3 years of audit experience without certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CIA or CPA certification preferred (CIA must be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Availability to travel up to 20 %.
