Junior Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

Kyndryl is looking for a Junior Linux Systems Administrator to join its enterprise operations team. In this position you will support, maintain, and optimise Linux‑based servers in production environments, ensuring stability, performance and availability while adhering to defined service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu and SUSE.
• Install, configure, harden and maintain Linux servers to meet security and performance standards.
• Monitor systems proactively, analyse logs and resolve incidents within SLA targets.
• Apply operating system patches, updates and implement basic automation for capacity and availability management.
• Document operational procedures and collaborate with database, middleware, cloud and storage teams.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of hands‑on experience supporting Linux in an operational or production setting.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system, service and performance issues.
• Growth mindset, strong accountability and customer‑focused attitude.
• Comfortable working in a team‑oriented, reliability‑driven environment.
