LATAM Attorney – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a qualified Attorney to support its legal and compliance activities across Latin America, primarily in Mexico. Reporting to the LATAM Company Lawyer, you will help drive the legal function, manage corporate and commercial matters, and ensure compliance as the company expands in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the LATAM Company Lawyer and HR Business Partner with labor‑law compliance, including employment agreements, benefits, union relations, and subcontracting issues.
• Support the LATAM Credit team on credit securities in Mexico, preparing pagares, mortgage documents, gathering required documentation, and coordinating notary services.
• Review and update importation and labeling requirements to keep the supply‑chain team informed of Mexican compliance obligations.
• Draft and negotiate agreements with distributors, resellers, and related parties, incorporating business‑plan changes, price lists, and annexes.

Required profile

• Law degree with proven experience in Mexican labor, corporate, and commercial law.
• Familiarity with credit‑security instruments such as pagares and real‑property mortgages.
• Experience handling import compliance and product‑labeling regulations in Mexico.
• Willingness to work onsite in Guadalajara three days per week or remotely from Mexico City or Monterrey.
