Lead Software Engineer – Payments Platform

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced Lead Engineer with a proven track record in evolving software products across markets. The role combines hands‑on development with mentoring a team of engineers while driving the technology roadmap to maximize impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex problems with cross‑service dependencies and facilitate cross‑functional resolution.
• Define, design, and develop service‑level procedures and solutions to meet business requirements.
• Drive prioritization decisions with product partners and build roadmaps for service enhancements.
• Automate and simplify software delivery, evangelizing automation across the team.
• Lead blameless post‑mortems to identify root causes and implement learnings.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and delivering scalable enterprise software.
• Proven hands‑on experience with full‑stack applications in large‑scale environments.
• Strong expertise in software engineering principles, object‑oriented design and architectural patterns.
• Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, especially ISO 20022 A2A standards.
• Experience leading technical initiatives across the full software development lifecycle.
