Lean Manufacturing Senior Engineer

About the role

The Lean Manufacturing Senior Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Manufacturing Operations. The role focuses on developing local coaches, driving Kaizen and value‑stream mapping events, and using data analysis to uncover root causes and key performance drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement activities, develop local coaches, and deliver training.
• Identify stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen and value‑stream mapping (VSM) events.
• Analyze data to understand problem root causes and key drivers of results.
• Provide process‑improvement training and implement lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Define guidelines and standards for manufacturing floor design and facilitate implementation.
• Establish critical business metrics, build dashboards, scorecards, and KPI systems.
• Identify and drive improvement opportunities based on data, customer feedback, and stakeholder input.
• Create standardized processes and ensure implementation of operating systems.
• Prioritize high‑value projects based on strategic fit, RONA, revenue growth, and manage the project queue.
• Maintain confidentiality and stay current with professional knowledge through workshops and societies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Lean Manufacturing Certification.
• Green Belt Certification.
• 7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Lean Engineer.

Required skills

• Working knowledge and experience in Layout Projection.
• Statistical tools.
• Lean Tools and implementation.
• Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
