Legal Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Associate with strong experience in corporate governance and corporate control to join the legal team at Klar. This full‑time, hybrid role based in Mexico City involves managing corporate control of the group’s entities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing litigation matters within a regulated financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate control of the group’s entities, including corporate books, powers of attorney, notices, minutes, and corporate structure.
• Prepare, coordinate and follow up on shareholders’ meetings, board of directors meetings, unanimous resolutions, and committee minutes.
• Maintain the corporate and regulatory calendar, tracking recurring obligations and key deadlines.
• Draft and review corporate documentation such as notices, minutes, resolutions, powers of attorney, and certifications.
• Monitor and track litigation matters, maintaining case status, deadlines, and coordinating with external law firms.
• Support compliance with regulatory authorities (CNBV, BANXICO, CONDUSEF) by coordinating with notaries, external counsel, and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate governance or corporate law, preferably with regulated entities.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong legal drafting and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and responsible.
• Interest in using AI tools to improve legal efficiency.
