Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our client’s network of local tour guides and destination experiences across Mexico. Working closely with management, the specialist will identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified guides while fostering long‑term relationships with tourism communities, guide associations, universities and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, tourism communities, referrals, guide marketplaces, universities and other channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student organisations, guide associations and tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess professionalism, destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service and operational readiness.
• Rank and maintain an organised pipeline of guide candidates, preparing profiles, recommendations and shortlists for management review.
• Support partnership negotiations and onboarding activities to integrate new guides into the network.
• Provide market intelligence and regular updates on the tourism partner ecosystem.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, recruitment, partnership management or tourism operations.
• Strong communication and interview skills with the ability to evaluate guide competencies.
• Proactive relationship‑building mindset and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous for local engagement.
