Logistic Specialist

About the role

The Logistic Specialist will manage inbound and outbound freight for Hunter Douglas' North American division, ensuring optimal trailer utilization, accurate carrier billing, and continuous improvement of shipping methods. This role supports multiple manufacturing sites in Mexico and works closely with internal customers and external logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly freight forwarder calls to monitor ocean and air shipments.
• Review, challenge, and approve carrier invoices while maintaining daily inbound reports.
• Handle carrier routing guides, compliance, and international air cargo quoting and shipping.
• Manage carrier damage claims, follow‑up reporting, and cost visibility.
• Retrieve performance reports and communicate shipment status to internal stakeholders.
• Resolve shipment issues such as mis‑ships, claims, and order reroutes promptly.
• Maintain KPI reports for Freight‑In and Freight‑Out.
• Verify bill of lading accuracy and support International FCL/LCL exports and parcel shipping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, or a related field.
• Strong English proficiency (approximately 90% comprehension).
• Experience managing parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean and air cargo.
