Logistics Scheduler

About the role

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, is looking for a Logistics Scheduler. The role coordinates national and international carriers so that pickups and deliveries to final customers arrive on time, and works closely with OTM planners, plant departments and carriers. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 10:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate national and international carriers for pickups and deliveries, and communicate directly with OTM planners on shipment assignment and daily OB shipments.
• Track and trace national and international (IB, OB) shipments, assign trips to drivers of interplant circuits and follow up on urgent shipments.
• Provide daily information on IB/OB/national shipments by 10 AM and work with the Shipping Supervisor on delivery creation in SAP, reporting to the OTM team.
• Review and confirm OTM carrier assignments, activate GPS trackers, handle invoicing and carrier invoices in SAP, and manage Carta Porte.
• Ensure US equipment availability for daily OB shipments, export documents in SAP (including modifications), create BOL and packing for consolidation yard units, and follow up LTL shipments.
• Keep records of domestic operations, extra expenses and carrier issues to report to Procurement, and escalate situations that could affect shipments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferably in international business or logistics (preferred).
• At least 2 years' experience in similar or related roles.
• Knowledge of international logistics processes and customs regulations.
• Intermediate English.
• Preferred: experience on Hazmat shipments.
