Maintenance Technician – Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its global high‑tech team. The role focuses on both preventive and corrective maintenance of a wide range of factory equipment, ensuring reliability, capacity and maintainability in a fast‑moving automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrotechnical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automated equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare, program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robots and manipulators.
• Diagnose simple breakdowns under supervision and resolve more complex failures autonomously.
• Analyze failure causes, propose improvements and implement modifications to increase equipment reliability.
• Participate in 5S, QRQC and other continuous‑improvement activities, updating intervention logs for traceability.
• Lead or contribute to improvement projects, work with subcontractors and draft maintenance procedures.

Required profile

• Technical background in industrial maintenance, electromechanics or a related field.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming and troubleshooting.
• Robotics and manipulator maintenance.
• Mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge.
• Electrotechnical systems expertise.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
