About the role

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Managing Director to lead one of its flagship properties. The role focuses on driving profitability, ensuring guest satisfaction, and developing a high‑performing team while upholding the brand’s standards and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily tours of operating departments and make adjustments with department heads.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions in line with Highgate standards.
• Oversee monthly financial reviews with department managers and ensure budgeted productivity levels.
• Develop managers through competency and corporate‑sponsored training programs.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales on daily prospecting calls and sales initiatives.
• Participate in required MOD coverage and maintain direct contact with management trainees.
• Ensure compliance with all Highgate policies and assist in the hotel budgeting process.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in hotel or hospitality operations.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of meeting budget and profitability targets.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to train, develop, and motivate staff at all levels.
• Ability to drive sales initiatives and build relationships with key accounts.
• Commitment to maintaining brand standards and operational excellence.
