Manufacturing Engineer – Querétaro Site

About the role

Abbott is building its first health‑manufacturing facility in Querétaro and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement efficient production processes that meet strict quality standards. The role supports the commercial objectives of the Electrophysiology business by installing, validating, and continuously improving assembly lines.

Key responsibilities

• Install and validate manufacturing processes and assembly lines.
• Develop, maintain, and control manufacturing process documentation.
• Acquire, purchase, and manage manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Investigate and resolve equipment and process issues.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to reduce cost and increase line efficiency.
• Train shop floor staff in basic equipment troubleshooting and related topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Proven experience with problem‑solving, validation, continuous improvement, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, and FDA regulations.
