Manufacturing Technician

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician will work within the CG Nogales Engineering department to implement, modify, and monitor the quality and efficiency of discrete, repetitive, or continuous manufacturing processes. The role supports engineers in developing new or modified tools and equipment, ensuring proper line setup, and validating materials for production.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers in designing and implementing new or modified process tools and equipment.
• Set up test equipment and automated processes on the manufacturing line.
• Conduct material tests to confirm suitability for production without quality issues.
• Read and interpret product and material drawings, update documentation, and initiate engineering deviations.
• Attend MDI meetings, perform line walk‑downs, identify safety, quality, or throughput risks, and escalate issues as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a process‑related field (e.g., Mechatronics) or equivalent technical background.
• 1–2 years of experience as a manufacturing operator or maintenance support.
• Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools gained in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Hardware tools: drill, electrical saw, buffer, soldering iron, tap and die.
• Measuring equipment: vernier caliper, multimeter, oscilloscope.
• Software: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SAP ECC (Planning, Materials, Quality), Windchill PLM.
