Materials Planner Engineer

About the role

Yanfeng, a global leader in automotive interiors, is launching a new plant in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León. We are looking for a Materials Planner Engineer to manage raw‑material forecasting, supplier coordination, and inventory control to support our production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Release raw‑material forecasts to suppliers and verify production capacity.
• Issue purchase orders based on production plans, monitor order progress, and ensure timely delivery to the YFS factory.
• Collaborate with customs specialists to handle imported material documentation.
• Track raw‑material storage, reconcile physical inventory with system records, and conduct monthly physical counts.
• Maintain supplier reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Create and update master data and Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP.
• Enter daily transaction data, adjust BOMs as needed, and support month‑end financial reporting.
• Perform seasonal BOM reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (logistics‑related preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years experience as a material engineer in the automotive industry.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• SAP ERP system (master data, BOM creation, daily data maintenance).
• Inventory reconciliation and warehouse management.
• Lean Production (LP) principles.
• Import customs coordination.
