Materials Supervisor - Line I (Medical Devices)

About the role

Jabil is hiring a materials supervisor for Line I at its Baja facility. The role sorts and cleans soiled incoming medical devices and clean medical containers within a fast-paced production flow. It involves prioritizing shipments, inspecting containers, operating bin-washing machinery and keeping detailed records.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize ship and receive all available orders each day and inspect medical device containers
• Operate bin washing machinery and clean and disinfect the soil-sort area at the end of each shift
• Maintain paperwork such as cleaning logs, inventories, RGA's, purchase orders and spreadsheets, and document rejects
• Handle supply requests and assist with customer service issues, including identifying customer returns
• Identify devices processed in the facility and discard those that are not, keeping jobs intact and working first-in-first-out
• Complete paperwork, update job status on the computer, and keep process documentation logs
• Perform cleaning of devices to a defined acceptable level and stay in compliance with safety measures (gowns, gloves, face masks)
• Work overtime as needed, assist in other production areas, train and qualify other team members, and complete required periodic re-training

Required profile

• 0-1 years of warehouse or similar experience; prior experience in the medical device industry is preferred
• Able to read, write, count and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally, and to bend, kneel, squat, twist and reach overhead
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and follow verbal and written instructions

Required skills

• Proprietary software and vendor-supplied systems, including SAP and Critical Manufacturing, preferred
• Basic knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferred
• Ability to calculate quantities of parts and to read and write simple correspondence
