Mechanical Design Engineer – Metal Stamped Parts

About the role

Join Bosch's Toluca plant as a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on metal‑stamped parts for electrified powertrain systems. You will support the North American market by turning customer requirements into robust, manufacturable designs that enable the company’s electromobility transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into feasible design concepts for metal‑stamped powertrain components.
• Deliver design work packages on time, meeting all functional and dimensional specifications.
• Perform technical studies, tolerance analyses, and GD&T stack‑up calculations for internal and external customers.
• Apply quality‑oriented engineering tools such as DFMEA and DRBFM to ensure design reliability.
• Collaborate with multicultural teams across engineering, production, and project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with stamped‑part design.
• Strong project management and communication abilities.
• Fluent English (required); German is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in Mexico; American visa is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in NX and CATIA.
• In‑depth knowledge of GD&T, tolerance calculations, and stack‑up analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with metal‑stamped parts.
• Use of DFMEA and DRBFM methodologies.
• Technical English communication.
