Mechanical Engineer – Product/Design Engineer

About the role

As a Product/Design Engineer at Carrier Global Corporation, you will drive product quality, performance, and innovation for our HVAC solutions. You will work closely with field teams to resolve quality issues, improve designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for field quality issues and deliver timely, cost‑effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate engineering data, including Bill of Materials, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Develop and execute testing and qualification plans for product improvements.
• Lead product improvement initiatives based on field data, testing results, and end‑user feedback.
• Support product certification processes and maintain compliance reports for UL and ETL standards.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience as a Product or Design Engineer.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing product changes.
• Results‑oriented, analytical, proactive, organized, and collaborative.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with engineering design processes and tools.
• Experience with Bill of Materials management and technical drawing control.
• Understanding of UL and ETL certification requirements.
• Optional: experience with parametric design/engineering tools.
