Mexico Tax Advisor

About the role

Charger Logistics is seeking a Mexico Tax Advisor to join its Finance Team. The role focuses on Mexican tax compliance, corporate tax returns, and coordination with both local and international tax authorities, offering a solid platform to deepen tax expertise within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with corporate tax return compliance and manage SAT portal interactions.
• Conduct basic to intermediate tax research specific to Mexico.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on inter‑company tax matters.
• Support the Tax Manager on transactions, elections, and consulting projects.
• Prepare monthly PST, QST, and HST returns for review.
• Correspond with CRA and Mexican tax authorities as needed.
• Draft memos and correspondence for managerial review.
• Provide tax input for annual forecasts, budgets, and financial statement analysis.
• Assist with tax audits of foreign subsidiaries and implement internal controls.
• Manage due‑diligence projects to identify potential tax liabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Specialization or Master's degree in taxes (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of tax accounting experience.
• Proven experience with Mexican taxes and tax audits.
• Knowledge of equipment financing, especially transportation equipment, is an asset.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office, with quick learning ability.
• Excellent time‑management, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
