Mid Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mid Security Engineer to join Coforge’s team in Hermosillo, Mexico. The role focuses on cloud security, SecOps and incident response within AWS environments, supporting both enterprise and containerized workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance security operations (SecOps) across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Monitor, analyze and respond to security alerts using SIEM, EDR and IDS/IPS tools.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in AWS cloud platforms.
• Investigate incidents, conduct threat analysis and perform log correlation.
• Contribute to vulnerability management – identification, prioritisation and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve overall security posture.
• Secure containerised workloads running on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate routine tasks with basic Python or Bash scripting.
• Document findings, processes and remediation actions in Confluence/Jira.
• Proactively identify risks and recommend security control improvements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Security Operations, Cloud Security or related cybersecurity roles.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, CrowdStrike Falcon (or similar EDR), SIEM tools and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience supporting incident response and security investigations.
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Hermosillo, Mexico.
