Nanny – Classroom Support for Middle School

About the role

The school is looking for a dedicated Nanny to support the Middle School classroom environment. Working closely with the Lead Teacher, the role involves assisting with lesson preparation, student supervision, and fostering a safe and engaging learning space. This position is ideal for someone passionate about child development and education.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing classroom and learning materials before lessons.
• Support students during classroom activities, ensuring understanding and participation.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group assistance to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and non‑classroom activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom environment.
• Support students’ social and emotional development through positive interactions.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour reinforcement strategies.
• Monitor and report student progress or concerns to the Lead Teacher.
• Provide personal care support for younger students where appropriate.
• Participate in school routines, events, and collaborative team activities.

Required profile

• Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
