Operational Risk & Resilience Junior Analyst

About the role

Join HSBC's Global Service Center to support the Operational Resilience agenda across markets. You will work closely with Business Service Owners and a range of internal partners to ensure critical services remain robust and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Refresh Important Business Service (IBS) artefacts on an annual cycle or after trigger events.
• Collaborate with Process Owners, Third‑Party Engagement Managers, IT Service Owners and the global mapping team to keep IBS artefacts up to date.
• Monitor remediation plans for Business and Technology Vulnerabilities.
• Design and coordinate scenario testing with Business Continuity and Incident Management teams.
• Assist Business Service Owners in completing quarterly and annual self‑assessments and obtain risk steward sign‑off.
• Ensure IBS artefacts comply with global operating instructions and maintain data quality in ARIS and dashboards.
• Prepare materials for BSO Governance meetings and facilitate pre‑meeting coordination.
• Respond to queries from the Second and Third Lines of Defence and contribute to the global Operational Resilience programme.

Required profile

• University graduate.
• Experience in a banking or financial institution, preferably familiar with HSBC products.
• Proven ability to liaise with internal and external business partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• ARIS (business process modelling tool).
