About the role

The Material Planner and Scheduler ensures that all required raw materials are available on time and in the correct quantities to support production. The role involves close interaction with suppliers, internal production planners, and inventory teams to guarantee seamless material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and monitor material availability, reviewing shortage reports in the MRP system.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and assess risks.
• Maintain accurate vendor profiles and update MRP/SAP data (notes, dates, comments).
• Supervise inventory levels, track in‑transit stock, and report potential shortages.
• React promptly to demand variations (+/-15%) to avoid excess inventory.
• Generate and reconcile ISTAR documents, ensuring air‑shipment budgets are respected.
• Follow up on blocked invoices through the PM7 workflow.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and communicate material risks.
• Excellent negotiation skills for day‑to‑day supplier interactions.
• Detail‑oriented approach to maintain accurate data in planning systems.
