Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance Lead

About the role

The Plant Controller will lead financial controlling and performance management for our manufacturing site in Monterrey. You will ensure accurate, timely financial information, support operational decisions, and drive cost efficiency and profitability while complying with corporate and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, provide explanations and corrective action proposals.
• Monitor production, cost, and efficiency KPIs and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Prepare monthly management reports for plant operations and act as a business partner to plant management.
• Provide financial analyses and simulations for CAPEX decisions and make‑or‑buy evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and local regulations (e.g., Annex 24).
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing in coordination with the Germany accounting team.
• Coordinate internal audits and maintain proper documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of controlling processes, reporting tools, and finance‑related systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in controlling or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong experience with plant or operational controlling, standard costing, margin analysis and industrial KPIs.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP; knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
