Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Controller to lead the finance function of a $500 M manufacturing plant. The role combines financial stewardship with business partnership, providing insight and control to drive profitability, cost discipline and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary financial advisor to the Plant Manager and operations leadership.
• Develop and own the plant’s annual operating plan, rolling forecasts and long‑range plans.
• Analyze variances, recommend corrective actions and support scenario modelling for volume, mix and inflation impacts.
• Oversee standard costing, bill‑of‑materials integrity, routing accuracy and variance analysis.
• Partner with operations to improve cost structure, scrap reduction, labor utilization and overall economics.
• Design and maintain financial and operational KPIs, delivering dashboards and performance reviews.
• Lead capital planning, ROI analysis and post‑investment reviews for growth and modernization projects.

Required profile

• Strategic finance leader with experience in manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• Strong partnership skills with plant leadership to influence pricing, sourcing and capital allocation decisions.
