Principal Engineer II – Process Engineering

About the role

Visteon is seeking a Principal Engineer II to lead process engineering activities across product launch, production, and service transfer. The role focuses on administering, monitoring, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure high quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Administer product and process documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, and core tools.
• Define BOM structures and register part numbers in QAD systems.
• Lead 8D analyses, multidisciplinary team collaborations, and customer failure investigations.
• Interpret engineering specifications, electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Develop and execute improvement plans targeting scrap, BTS, FTT, and PPM metrics.
• Participate in Kaizen initiatives and conduct VECA/LPA audits.
• Perform process engineering studies such as R&R, CPK, dimensional studies, and strength gauge evaluations.
• Implement functional tests, efficiency tools, and poka‑yoke solutions.
• Design, improve, and monitor QPS and process documentation.

Required profile

• Strong background in engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Six Sigma projects and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, agile environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
