Professional Financial Analyst

About the role

The Professional Financial Analyst supports Dematic's Global Operations function by providing financial insight for a manufacturing facility. Working closely with the local Manufacturing Controller, the analyst helps drive cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and strategic decision‑making across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Manufacturing Controller to manage costs, inventory, and performance metrics for the plant.
• Prepare and maintain plant financials, including forecasts, monthly actual‑to‑forecast reviews, and the annual budgeting process.
• Calculate, review, and validate standard costs, purchase‑price variances, and production variances.
• Support daily costing activities and set annual standard costs as needed.
• Analyze backlog, new business workload, and labor data to inform operational planning.
• Forecast plant inventory, calculate inventory reserves, and evaluate reserve efficiency each quarter.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, inventory management, and cycle‑count procedures.
• Participate in bid reviews for new projects and collaborate with the Plant Manager to identify execution improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with standard costing and cost analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain results and make recommendations to management.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
