Project Engineer – Temporary

About the role
Colgate‑Palmolive is seeking a temporary Project Engineer to support the implementation of manufacturing projects at its San Jose Iturbide facility in Guanajuato, Mexico. The role combines technical analysis, on‑site supervision, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze and implement engineering projects, preparing detailed documentation for each.
- Manage project timelines and resources, coordinating with Quality, Safety, Procurement and Finance teams.
- Plan and oversee equipment installation, develop layout drawings and electronic scopes, and conduct acceptance tests.
- Supervise field activities, coordinate training, monitor work quality, and generate validation documentation.
- Control project financials, monitor asset inflows/outflows, and apply factory performance and reliability standards.
Required profile
- Engineering degree (any discipline).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar project engineering role.
- English proficiency of at least 80%.

- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Electronics and mechanics knowledge.
- Construction or related engineering knowledge.
- Health and safety standards.
- Office and project management tools.
- CAD design.
- Quality systems and quality control.
- Project development and management.
