Project Manager – Manufacturing Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end execution of manufacturing projects across our U.S. and Mexican facilities. You will coordinate equipment installations, process improvements, plant expansions and new‑product introductions while ensuring alignment with production schedules and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, budgets and corporate‑level presentations covering scope, timelines, resources and deliverables.
• Drive adherence to stage‑gate or structured project‑management processes and apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency.
• Lead Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping and other process‑optimization initiatives.
• Coordinate activities across multiple sites (Aiken, Mexicali, Saltillo) and ensure seamless integration of projects into daily operations.
• Manage capital expenditure budgets, track costs, ROI and financial performance.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to production, safety or quality and ensure compliance with OSHA, NOM and company EHS standards.
• Provide data‑driven updates to plant leadership and senior stakeholders, facilitating reviews and escalation management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of project‑management experience in industrial manufacturing or plant operations.
• Proven track record delivering capital projects, process improvements or NPI initiatives in a plant environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional, multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel 25–40% between sites.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC/DMADV) methodology.
• Kaizen and value‑stream mapping techniques.
• Data analysis tools such as Minitab.
• Project‑management software (MS Project, Smartsheet).
• ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle.
• Reporting tools (Noetix, Crystal Reports).
