QA/QC Engineer – Civil, Structural & Architectural (Industrial Energy)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control activities on civil, structural and architectural works within industrial energy projects. The role ensures that construction processes comply with the highest standards, Mexican regulations and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans aligned with NOM, ASTM, ACI, AISC and AWS standards.
• Verify materials, construction procedures, inspection protocols and maintain site records.
• Conduct daily technical inspections, produce photographic and documentary reports.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee testing activities for soil compaction, concrete, structural steel, welding, coatings and architectural finishes.
• Participate in progress meetings and present quality updates to senior management.
• Coordinate technical and documentary close‑out of projects.
• Represent the company during audits, client reviews and regulatory inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on industrial civil, structural and architectural projects, preferably in power or energy facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican (NOM) and international construction codes (ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS).
• Excellent documentation, record‑control and executive‑level reporting skills.
• Bilingual Spanish‑English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure, self‑motivated and capable of solving complex technical issues.
