Quality Assurance Engineer – Warranties Lab

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the Warranties Lab by ensuring that tools, equipment and processes meet current and future warranty analysis needs. You will work closely with lab technicians, development teams and plant leads to deliver accurate electrical product analyses and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire, install and maintain warranty lab tools and equipment.
• Handle, store and dispose of warranty returns according to specifications.
• Perform electrical product analysis and record results in the SAP/DACHs system.
• Provide technical support to lab technicians and act as the main contact for Lead Plants.
• Participate in customer‑complaint meetings and explain technical failure causes.
• Create failure overviews, standardize failure codes and develop troubleshooting guides.
• Support quality, environmental goals and audit activities (internal and external).
• Contribute to plant and QMM digitalisation projects, including IA tools and RPA bots.
• Plan, calibrate and maintain test equipment; procure new equipment as needed.
• Generate analysis reports for each claim and upload them to SAP/DACHs.

Required profile

• Technical background in electrical product testing and warranty analysis.
• Ability to work with lab equipment, diagnostics tools and SAP databases.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with development teams, customers and plant leads.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and process improvement.
• Experience supporting audits and digitalisation initiatives.

Required skills

• SAP/DACHs system for data recording.
• Hardware and software diagnostic tools (e.g., CANAlizer, CANoe).
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and Gerber files for PCBs.
• Test equipment setup, calibration and maintenance.
• Use of IA digital tools and RPA/bot creation for process automation.
