Quality Control Engineer

About the role

KEMET de México is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to ensure the effectiveness of quality systems in the plating area of its Guadalupe plant. The role focuses on meeting ISO/TS 16949 standards, customer requirements, and delivering high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality reject analysis, trend revision, and develop corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Process Engineering team to resolve quality issues and reduce customer complaints.
• Develop and improve quality stations, protocols, and equipment qualification.
• Lead containment activities and support end‑of‑line (EOL) processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with advanced engineering techniques and ISO/TS 16949 standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office
• Minitab
• Statistical analysis tools
• Green Belt (desirable)
• Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949
