Quality Engineer

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of production quality standards. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and update quality system documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor production quality performance and ensure compliance with the Quality System.
• Support corrective action requests, customer complaints, and internal/external audits.
• Participate in validation, testing, and evaluation of products and processes.
• Analyze operational and test data using statistical methods (SPC, capability studies, MSA).
• Develop and update production control plans, mistake‑proofing techniques, and layered audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing roles.
• Knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, Quality by Design, and process control strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with manufacturing engineers and technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Application of statistical process control (SPC), capability studies, and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Data analysis and interpretation of specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes (preferred).
