Quality Engineer

About the role

Rockwell Automation is hiring a Quality Engineer in Monterrey. The engineer leads inspectors, works with corporate teams, customers, suppliers and internal departments, and drives a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Quality Team Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure process stability, compliance to specifications and continuous improvement
• Manage end-to-end process quality, including MRB, nonconforming material control, incoming inspection, raw material verification, in-process QA, final inspection and supplier quality
• Qualify new products (NPI), including validation plans and documentation
• Guide teams through problem solving using A3, 8D, DMAIC and PDCA, and close corrective actions
• Analyze Quality KPIs and KBIs, turn data into insights and run improvement initiatives that reduce defects and improve plant efficiency
• Develop customer escape prevention strategies, lead cross-functional investigations and implement long-term corrective actions
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing of mechanical and electronic assemblies
• Preferred: background in electrically driven industrial products, low to medium volume and high-mix production, and experience in companies following corporate quality standards and global compliance systems
• Intermediate to advanced English, able to meet, prepare reports and communicate with customers and corporate teams
