Regional Controller Director – Latin America

About the role

The Regional Controller Director for Latin America will lead accounting, controllership, treasury and compliance across multiple countries. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure financial integrity, consistent processes and robust governance while supporting IFF’s growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting and controllership activities, ensuring uniform execution of financial processes and governance standards.
• Oversee general accounting operations and coordinate activities of the Shared Service Center.
• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting in line with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment, including SOX compliance and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external audits, ensuring prompt resolution of findings.
• Partner with Tax teams to manage tax reporting, audits and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Supervise regional treasury functions, banking relationships and cash‑management in accordance with global policies.
• Lead balance‑sheet and P&L review processes, identify risks, explain variances and drive corrective actions.
• Coach, develop and mentor finance professionals, building succession plans and high‑performing teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting, controllership and treasury within a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of managing complex financial reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls and audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional finance teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
