Regional Controller – LATAM

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Controller for the LATAM region to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for Aviat Networks. The role will manage the monthly close, financial reporting and ensure compliance with statutory, tax and SOX requirements across the assigned countries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily accounting activities for the region, including journal entries, account reconciliations and balance‑sheet reviews.
• Coordinate and execute the monthly financial close in Oracle and prepare reports for U.S. Corporate Accounting, Tax and Treasury.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting for Corporate Treasury and assist with local statutory audits and tax filings.
• Maintain and improve the ERP system, provide training and drive process enhancements.
• Ensure adherence to SOX controls and review local contracts for compliance.
• Lead and develop the local controllership team.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
• Qualified CA or CPA.
• 5‑10 years of post‑qualification experience in an industrial or B2B environment.
• Strong background in international accounting, foreign‑currency translation and local tax regulations.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus.
